Wow! John Wayne Parr and Chatri Sityodtong announced on Twitter that Parr is going to fighting in December.
Parr originally signed with ONE Championship in March 2020 but had a partial hip replacement surgery in June 2020.
In an interview with SCMP MMA, Parr says he is feeling a lot better and is still slated to fight in December 2020. Hopefully everything will go through as planned.
Parr has long been a staple in kickboxing. At 44, it is only a matter of time before he rides off into the sunset. Fighting at such a high level at 44 is a feat in and of itself. Most kickboxers don’t fight past 30.
Parr’s last fight was in August 2019, against Danillo Zanolini in which he suffered a split decision lost.
